Emma Al-munshi

Emma is a Fantasy/Romantasy author, poet and voice over artist.

She’s previously written articles for HuffPostUk and Sisterhood Magazine, and her previous ghost-written work has appeared on international websites and in national papers.

Emma contributed a piece entitled ‘A Chameleon’s Skin’ to Hussain Manawer’s instant Sunday Times Bestselling anthology, I wanted to Quit Too: Stories for the Heart and Soul. The book included short stories, poems and articles from the likes of actress Courteney Cox, actors Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Jay Ellis, YouTuber KSI, rugby union player Maro Itoje, singer-songwriter Sinead Harnett, amongst many others.

As a poet, Emma shares her work online and debuted her first live performance at the Clicks Festival in East London. She’s now signed with Bedford Sq Voices for her voiceover work.

Emma’s previous career as an entertainment publicist—in which she was a recipient of the WeAreTheCity Rising Star award for Media and Journalism—saw her represent Sunday Times bestselling books, household names, global events and podcasts.

Born in Baghdad, Iraq, brought up in South Yorkshire and now residing in London, both Emma’s fiction and non-fiction work explores mental health and her identity struggles.

She’s represented by Nicky Lovick at WGM Atlantic for her literary work. Her Arab-myth inspired Romantasy, A KINGDOM TO DROWN ME is her debut novel.
